Joshua was in desperate need of a haircut so we took him to Cookie Cutters for his first haircut. We have been lost at what to do with his hair because it was super long and floppy but he still doesn't have a ton of it.
Getting ready, sitting in a car chair.
Mid cut.
The final product. What a cutie!

Halloween!
We started by going to the Children's Museum haunted house. It was advertised as lights on for younger children so I thought it wouldn't be scary at all and Joshua would enjoy it. Too bad he got a little scared. I felt horrible. As we walked through he kept telling us how he didn't like it and was scared. But when we finished, some popcorn and a lollipop made everything better.
He chose to dress up as a race car driver that night, one of his 4 costume options.
Next, we carved pumpkins for family night. It was my first time carving a fun design and we didn't even get any pictures. I have become so bad about taking pictures. Joshua was so excited to do it and loved playing with the gunk, except if it touched him. He's hilarious about getting his hands messy.
Finally, on Halloween night we dressed Joshua up as an elephant because it was his warmest costume. Kevin walked him around to our neighbors while I passed out candy at home. He loved trick-or-treating and loved wearing his elephant except he did not want pictures. He ran away every time we tried to take one, so here is the best one. He was an adorable elephant though!

We're having a baby...
GIRL and couldn't be more excited! I think we were both a little surprised but in a good way. Neither Kevin nor I had any preference, we were just excited to find out.
Baby girl was not shy about showing herself! She stuck her little bum in the air and spread them wide so we knew for sure she was a girl.
Knowing that 'it' is now a girl has helped the excitement kick in! I am FINALLY not throwing up anymore and feeling so much better. I can't wait to go shopping for lots of hair bows, tights, and everything pink!

It's only 2 years, right?
We've been in Indiana now for about a month and I'm going to be honest, I don't love it or even like it very much. I apologize if you do love it.
When we found out we were moving here I was disappointed and not excited. But, I had never lived in the midwest and felt like I was treating it like a different country. Everyone was telling me to calm down, it wouldn't be bad, it's just like anywhere else, blah blah blah. Well, everyone was wrong! I totally feel like I'm living in a foreign country. The way I had pictured Indiana in my head is actually better than reality.
Maybe it would help if we met some people to hang out with, Joshua had some kids to play with, we had an awesome ward... but nope. I spend my days a little depressed and sad thinking about our life in Utah.
Okay, well I just had to get that out. No more negativity. I feel better just saying how I feel.

Thirteen
Is how many weeks I am now. We are so exited to welcome another baby February 2011! Joshua and new baby will be 2 years and 5 months apart which I think is perfect.
Pregnancy and me don't really go well together, especially the first half so I am counting down the weeks until I feel better. I think everyone is... I am not the most fun person to be around, we are still living out of boxes, and Kevin is playing mom and dad right now.
It's been a wild summer, hence the lack of blogging. I have pictures to post, stories to tell, and all sorts of things. But, for right now I need to take a nap.

In case you haven't heard...
We're moving!
Kevin has officially accepted a job as a corps member for Teach for America! This is exciting, scary, and sad all at the same time. We will be moving June 11 to Indianapolis. I've decided saying Indianapolis sounds a lot better than just Indiana. We will be there 2 years and then off to law school, hopefully at University of Pennsylvania.
Here are some of the good things about Indianapolis (I'm trying to be positive):
1. Hiram and Tashina are an hour or so away
2. Plane tickets to Maryland are fairly cheap
3. Kevin will be a great teacher
4. Indianapolis has a Trader Joe's and Utah does not
5. We're getting closer to the east coast!
6. Indianapolis is a reasonably priced place to live
Now things I'm sad about and going to miss:
1. Crazy, but Utah has been my home my whole adult life. It's bitter sweet to leave.
2. I love our house and for the next 5 years, we will definitely not be living in luxury.
3. Our amazing friends, neighbors, and family that we live so close to.
4. The list of our favorite restaurants (lame I know but I'm going to miss them)
So, goodbye Utah. We have 5 more weeks together. Love, the Tame's.

Nana Visits!
We were lucky to have my mom come out and visit for a week! Joshua and I were definitely spoiled while Kevin slaved away at school. Here is a rundown of our busy week:
Monday:
We picked up Grandma from the airport and then went shopping and ate at Red Robin. Yum! Joshua got his first Yankees hat!
Tuesday:
The aquarium! Joshua LOVES fish so we have season passes. They have a place where you are able to touch the stingrays. Josh isn't a huge fan of the stingrays, but can't get enough of the water.
Wednesday:
The children's museum, Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake. We had so much fun here! It was the busiest I've ever seen it, but Joshua didn't care. He loved playing with the balls, cars, and following the big kids around. We went with our good friend Amber and her baby girl Aaliyah. Afterwards, we had some California Pizza Kitchen and Anthropolgie shopping. A day doesn't get much better than that!
Thursday:
We went to Gardner village. I had never been there before but heard it had some cute shops and was fun to walk around. It was the perfect day to go. The weather was great! It was tiring chasing after an active 18 month old but we made it. They also have a little petting farm so we took Joshua to see the animals. At first he wasn't too into them, but after a bit he started petting them. Me on the other hand, did not want anything to do with touching them. Looking from far away was fine with me!
Friday:
Kevin was back so we all went to the movies to see How to Train a Dragon. Apparently it's really good but I couldn't tell you because Joshua and I played in the hall for the last 45 minutes. But, it was fun to go and he enjoyed the first half, eating his popcorn, lounging on my lap. Afterwards, we went to Sawadee, a fav of ours.
Saturday:
Saturday may have been the best. It was absolutely gorgeous weather, Kevin was with us, and we went to the zoo. It was just fun being all together. We saw tons of animals, rode the carousel a bunch of times, and went on the train ride. Afterwards, we met up with Kenny and Chelsea for dinner at the usually great, Porcupine. Not that night. It was disastrous, a night to remember. But, it ended fine with great food and great company.
Sunday:
The usual, nothing special. Church and hanging out.
On Monday we had to say goodbye to Nana. We had a blast and we're so thankful she was able to come visit us! Visit again soon!

Easter
I'm finally getting around to posting about Easter. I've been slacking but with good reason... my computer crashed and I was computerless for a month! Anyways, we had a wonderful, cold Easter. Kevin was gone for our neighborhood Easter egg hunt so Joshua and I went alone. He loved grabbing the eggs and was a little disappointed that it only lasted about a minute.
Easter weekend we went to the Thanksgiving Point eggstreme. It was intense! Parents were pushing and stealing eggs from us. Joshua only ended up with 2 eggs, which he was fine with. He also got to go down a huge slide, go on a train ride, see all the farm animals, and enjoy the freezing temps!
